| The entire movie “Chloe is a masterpiece of wonderful and entertaining scenes, worth seeing. Close-up it’s concentrated on characters’s faces, gestures, movements and reactions. The music on the background always keeps in suspense, you can’t never know what’s going to happen. To mention some remarkable scenes of Catherine with Chloe who tells her in details everything she has done with her husband David so that Catherine imagines the entire scenes even long after the first conversation. One of the sequence I most liked is the one when Catherine hears her son Michael talking with his father on the phone about the relationship with his girlfriend. The whole scene happens in 27’ of the film. Even if is a short and quiet scene it tells a lot. It’s very important and relevant because of the communication between Catherine and her husband, but especially between her and the son. Catherine is upstairs listening from the window. Is then when she realizes that she had never had an influence upon Michael’s personality. They always kept the distance. In that clipă she fells admiration for David who managed a good relationship with his son. In spite of being angry and suspicious with David who might have an affair, her face shows admiration for her husband, for his abilities of being a good father. The idea of the family remains invilolate and primordial. |
